Did you know having an eagle as our district's mascot gives us an excellent model for us to connect with our new Strategic Plan?

It's amazing to observe this eagle as it navigates over a mountain range like no other creature can.

Obviously, eagles have a tremendous ability to soar.

But did you know eagles harness this unique ability to avoid the storms, winds, and rain that hamper other birds?

This isn't because eagles carry umbrellas and wear raincoats.

Rather, they are able to powerfully and wisely soar above the clouds, well above the turbulence below.

In a way, our new Strategic Plan can help FSD in a similar fashion.

Not that it will allow our district to avoid occasional storms and turbulence, of course, but our Strategic Plan will help us better navigate and reduce the intensity and uncertainty of tough times while also placing us in a better position to take advantage of the opportunities that'll improve learning and the futures of every FSD student.
